Margarita Purtill heads up a dedicated team of lawyers in the firm.
Margarita graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway with an undergraduate degree in Law and history. She then studied at UCC and obtained a postgraduate LLB.
She has also completed a Diploma in Family Law with the Law Society of Ireland and a diploma in trusts and estates from the Law society of Ireland.
Margarita is a qualified Trusts and Estates Practitioner (TEP) and a member of STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

She has extensive experience in many areas of law. She has dealt with all kinds of property transactions including residential and commercial property, site acquisition, commercial leases both Landlord and Tenant.

She specialises in wills, succession planning, lifetime transfers and tax advice including law for the elderly and administration of estates.

Margarita provides practical and client focused legal advice in a confidential and sensitive manner. You can be confident that your affairs will be dealt with competently and efficiently.

Aoife Thornton graduated from the University of Limerick with a Degree in Law and European Studies (French) and went on to qualify as a solicitor in 2008. Aoife is also qualified as a Mediator through the Mediators Institute of Ireland (MII) and has practised in this area.

Aoife worked with Pierse Fitzgibbon Solicitors in Listowel for almost 10 years and has since gone on to become a Kerry County Councillor following the 2014 local elections in Kerry.

Aoife's areas of expertise are in the areas of Family Law, Employment Law, Agricultural Law and General Litigation. She also advises on commercial transactions, licensing law and personal injuries.

Aoife advises both employers and employees in relation to a wide array of employment law issues both in a contentious and non-contentious setting. Aoife has extensive experience in Family law having advised on all aspects of same.

Paul Cannon graduated from the National University of Ireland Galway with a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) in 2004, after first completing his BA degree in English, Sociology & Politics. He then spent time working abroad, before returning to Ireland to work in the banking industry.

Paul then went on to qualify as a solicitor, spending four years working with Cahill & Cahill Solicitors in Castlebar and subsequently joined Woods Hogan Solicitors in Dublin for two years. From there Paul made a return to the Banking sector when he took up a role as an In-House Legal Counsel for the global financial services provider, Pepper Finance (Ireland).

Paul is now engaged in the general practice of the firm with a special interest in the areas of conveyancing, litigation, and District court matters. He also has a wealth of experience of dealing withbanking law matters.

Paul is a member of the Law Society of Ireland and looks forward to dealing with your legal needs in a discrete, professional and timely manner.
